MBFWA DAY 3: ELLERY

A genius collection born out of a childhood mistake and called ‘Delicatessen’, Kim Ellery’s Spring/Summer 2012 – 2013 bold offering was a mix of differing fabrics, provocative shapes and killer textures.

Staying true her design aesthetic, the collection featured sharpness, high shoulders, high necklines and a lot of structure. Metallic silver was prominent and made up one of her hero pieces – the draped dress. Moss green, fuchsia and a fine red tulle containing a high-shine glitter were also prominent.

The favourite standouts were a moss green strapless A-line dress, fitted playsuit with a high neck, silver draped dress and a sheer red tulle dress with high shoulders. Fuse that with headpieces with tiny ears, pointed stilettos with hardware, yellow and red nails and you have fashion heaven. Gorgeous.
