Designer Belle Stewart has presented a debut collection, causing a buzz throughout the fashion industry. Catching the eye of The Age, who labeled her as one of 2013’s Next Big Things, we thought we’d show you what all the fuss is about.

A Melbourne-based designer, Stewart has launched a line of luxuriously sleek eco-friendly handbags and clutches under the label Constance Roe. This new, modern label provides butter-soft leather goods with a nice attention to detail where it counts. Beautiful hand-finishes and adorable linings make each piece fabulous inside and out. Laidback pieces, perfect for work or the gym, become instantly evening worthy with a pop of orange and a splash of gold. Evening clutches fold out to laptop size, while sporty-luxe styles are embellished with elephant braids and tasteful tassels.

Made in Bali each design is extremely limited using salvaged leathers producing 33 styles. Environmentally conscious each design is a timeless investment marrying function and form. Made for practicality the bags are tough with perfectly proportioned pockets inside and out, holding phones, keys, a wallet, cosmetics and other female essentials. Because there is nothing worse than rummaging through a bottomless pit, coming across everything except what you’re actually looking for. And we all know how vital it is to have easy phone access!

The name Constance Roe comes from the designer’s grandmother who was known as a style icon in Melbourne during the 30s and 40s. Her style was classic and chic, replicated in the bags Stewart designs today.

You can get your hands on a Constance Roe beauty at selected boutiques or purchase online at www.constanceroe.co. Follow the label on Instagram or Twitter @constanceroe.
